What good is government?

Seriously, what in the frick good is government anymore?
There is nothing more inefficient, less capable of solving problems, and there is nothing more filled with the most stupid, mouth-breathing, leech-like individuals in the entirety of the world.
Example:
I got a Zipcash invoice from the state of Texas a while ago. I was not in Texas at the time, the vehicle description was not my truck, and the picture of the license plate was not a LA license plate. So I call up the North Texas Tollway Authority, inform them of all the things I just listed above. They said they will start a dispute report for me.
Couple months go by and then Monday get a second notice invoice in the mail with the price doubled. I call up there again, speak with the supervisor, tell the pissant all the things I told the other worthless blood-sucker a couple months before. This atom-splitter tells me to go online to their website and start a claim. I do that, however, on their useless website, the only claim I'm allowed to make is "transfer of vehicle ownership." That's it, that is the only type of claim that you can start on their website. So I just said screw it and did the claim, put pictures of my license plate and the invoice to compare the two plates and the truck in the description and the truck that I actually drive. Rejected.
So I call up there again and finally get in touch with a supervisor and while he admits that yes, this was a mistake on their part, that I'm still going to have to call the LA DMV and get them to email me some sort of paperwork that will help prove the case.
MOTHERfrickER, so because Y'ALL messed up I have to go fix this shite? That's bullshite, complete and utter fricking bullshite.
So I call up the LA DMV, get put on hold for 20+ minutes, get on the phone with some kween that probably can't spell Department of Motor Vehicles without having to look it up, only to get told that they don't do anything with Texas. I tried as calmly as possible to explain to this fricking moron that they aren't having to send Texas anything, they are having to send ME the paperwork. She gets loud so I start getting loud right back with her and she hangs up the phone.
Seriously, if you work for any government entity, and that is your main form of income, frick you. Unless you're in the military, fire department, or emergency personnel.
The rest of you are complete and utter useless mouths and massive shitbags.

There are way more useful government agencies than just these, but you do you.

It’s awesome for enriching people in government.
And their corporate cronies

It may have changed, but NTTA used to (or still does) use ETCC out of Richardson for their gantry transaction readings. You're not speaking with any state of Texas entity. It's all privatized and contracted.

I don't go to Texas ever. So I'm not going to do that. The picture in the invoice isn't my truck in any case.

Good luck with that no government thing. Typically no govt leads to dictatorship which then there are a few lords and the rest of us are serfs and peasants and slaves.

You know what they say? "Those that can't do, teach. Those that can't teach, become a government worker."

I was thinking that was an awful lot to type up in order to off-gas about gooberment red tape, but then again this is called "the rant" for a reason. I think you provided a good rant. Hope it helped let off some steam, but I doubt it'll do any good with anything related to Texas DMV/DOT.
