I really hope it’s not apartments because we don’t need anymore apartments. In five to ten years, it will go down hill.

It’s apartments. Sorry dude. On the bright side, it’s not like BR will be ruined in five to ten years, bc it has already been ruined.

If you can’t tell they are apartments what can I say.

I knew they were but I thought there might be a 5% chance that somebody could prove me wrong lol

Anybody that lives on Bluebonnet Extension better enjoy the last good ten years of that area before those apartment dwellers destroy it.

Lots of apartments. Lots of people be able to walk down to Wal Marks.

I worked with an out of town engineer on a drainage issue over there. He said they were building apartments. No idea personally—it was bare land last time I was through there.

I know it’s frustrating to see new apartments constantly going up everywhere. It’s the complete ghettoization of everywhere. Here in Katy, we have more apartments being built. And not coincidentally, the area is not quite as nice as it was when I moved here ten years ago.

It’s obviously apartments, and they are building another neighborhood on the other side of Wal-Mart

Got to have somewhere for all those illegals to live that they are letting in.

Are they the Soviet-bloc style high rise apartments that seem to be all the rage these days? In every city it seems developers are stumbling on each other to fill all remaining green space with these soulless eyesores.

This is amazing and sad at the same time. Also tragic.
Before LaSalle and Iberville came to Louisiana the Mississippi River when it was in flood stage would flow down Bayou Fountain and Manchac to the Amite River. That area of Burbank south of Gardere used to be sugar cane fields for a reason. The area where Burbank intersects Nicholson used to be a producing oil field ,the area just north of Lee between Burbank and La 30 is still producing oil, last I heard.
People living in this area best pray for strong levees.

In Baton Rouge we believe in Planned Communities.
SWB rubber stamped a construction permit for the Ideal Market on Burbank to draw the illegals. This is not accidental.

It’s sad cause that area has so much potential with the Burbank soccer fields and the new neighborhoods down Nicholson. Gardere has been an issue but it was held in a pocket. As soon as the Walmart was built, I knew it was downhill from there.
