Inspired by instances of people robbed or CAF cases.

I have never had more than a couple grand on my person and those instances were in a casino.

Buying a car or other large purchase would be a cashiers check from my bank.

There are no instances that are legal where you would absolutely need $100k cash.

However, carrying it shouldn't be a crime in and of itself.

I wouldn’t, but some people don’t trust banks for whatever reason.

It’s stupid, but not illegal. CAF is such fricking bullshite.

Do you remember that resort in Columbia that supplied you with hookers and cocaine while you stayed at the resort?

This would be that type of instance a person would need 100k in cash.

I can’t think of any legit instances.

Everything I can think of involves something illicit OR is a situation where a cashier’s check, wire transfer, or credit card would be acceptable (buying real estate, jewelry, etc.).

I saw someone pay 100k cash as a deposit for a Huracan. But this was at his McMansion.

Now that I’m thinking about it, don’t some auction houses require payments, or at least deposits, be made in cash on the day of sale?

Need? Very, very few.

But let's say someone owns a bar/nightclub that is very large and very busy. They charge cover, and, of course, end up doing a lot of cash sales.

100k is pushing it for one night, but it isn't absurd to think that the owner might be taking 30-35k to the bank in the morning.

Why even carry that much cash around on you? I sold an old car many years ago and the guy paid me a couple of grand in cash. I couldn't hardly wait to get to a bank, I was paranoid out of my mind thinking someone might stick me up.
