If I’m doing a jogging motion, then it’s running.

Oh for fricks same. My feet are fricking damaged from something earlier in life. I’m going to be in agony later from it. I shouldn’t have to justify being happy I did it. Could be any number of reasons

The point being, be happy with the small things where you can

Anything under 10 minutes/mile is stellar baw. If you aren't there keep working at it until you get there.

When you get old enough to remember Watergate you feel lucky to be moving forward in an upright position.

I could run a 5 min mile at one time - I bet it's 10+ right now - but I can still hit a 300 yard drive

Nope, but I shouldn’t have drunk a Red Bull earlier…. I don’t even like Red Bull. I have a stupid thing I always but one of Red Bull does well even though I’m not a fan of the team

In that case more power to you. And

But this is the OT and you’ve been around long enough to know that a generic statement about barely running a mile is going to catch some shite.

True enough, i figured people may interpret it differently than I mean it but I prefer to keep things poignant when possible.

I just decided to get back to trying to be in shape too. Started this morning. It wasn’t a good time at all, but I got out there and did it.

Stay with it, long term consistency is better than short term intensity every time.
