Playing baseball at 14 with a guy randomly picked on team. My parents became friends with his and we all go out to eat after a game one night. His cousin Katie tags along. My heart stopped. She purposely chose the seat next to me at holy mackerel. Start chatting a bit and we exchange phone numbers, emails, and AIM screen names. She wasn't from New Orleans, but we kept in contact over the next year.

Comes back the following summer. I get a call a few days before from her friend, whom I've never met. Told me Katie would like me to be her first kiss... I'm down... I ask her to see a movie (Minority Report). She says yes and we are making out. 1st basing and 2nd basing all throughout.

Then, I ask to get together again. She says sure. Next time we are suppose to hang out... Nothing... I sat at the movie theater for an hour and a half. This was my first time being stood up. I didn't know how long I was supposed to wait. I'm upset.

The next ball game we have. She shows up. Says I'm sorry and it won't happen again. I said let me pitch this game and I will talk to you afterwards.

She stands behind home plate all game by herself. I'm distracted and not throwing well. Catcher calls time out and asks me what's up. I said nothing. Some girl stood me up and I'm a little bummed. He said don't worry it happens and I'm talking to this girl. Want me to see if she has a friend. I said sure. He said OK. She's standing behind home plate. I will ask her after the game.

She married and plump with 2 kids. Catcher came out a few years after.

I don't remember any girl wronging me in such a fashion. Had a number of relationships that did not work for some reason or another. Usually it was me who was avoiding commitment to a girl who wanted more.

But here's a story to entertain ya:

I was thirtysomething when I finally banged my high school crush. Then she got all clingy and was smothering me, so I had to end it. In a couple of years she would have expected me to take her to her senior prom.

(Apologies to Amy Schumer, but when she tells this as a joke it kinda hits home.)

In 6th grade I was passing a note to a buddy saying that I liked a certain girl (it was near Valentine's). Of course, she intercepts said note. Once she read it, she busted out laughing (I was a chubby kid). She didn't let it stop there and told everyone in the class.

Justice was served though. Fast forward to senior year, and I had grown into my body. She made clear her interest and me but I made her work for that date.

Dated for 2 1/2 years and she ended up pregnant for someone else. Whore is now broke and divorced
