When is Teedy going to hold a press conference on the rise of crime in the City?

Why wont WWL Radio or any other media in this city call her out?

Why is the Advocate and Nola.com so afraid of her?

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Lower 9th Ward that left one man dead Wednesday night.

The department also responded to two other shootings in Algiers and Gentilly and that left men wounded.

quote:

In that incident, an undetermined number of suspects chased a man into a business about 10:38 p.m. The suspects opened fire, injuring the man, according to NOPD. He was taken to the hospital but his condition was unknown Thursday.

Earlier in the evening, a bicyclist was wounded in an Algiers shootout, NOPD said. A 47-year-old man was riding his bike in the 3900 block of Behrman Place (map) about 7:38 p.m. when someone shot at him, according to authorities.

The bicyclist returned fire before running from the scene, NOPD said. He was later brought to the hospital in a private vehicle. No condition information was available.

I’m assuming the guy on the bike had his vehicle carjacked earlier in the day

Calm down. Juvenile now has the key to the city. All is well.

Shooting and peddling? I’d like to see this. Old school drive by.

The emigration out of New Orleans (and even the immediate metro area) by middle class families is going faster and faster. Kind of like the mass emigration into Metairie, Kenner, Chalmette, etc in the 1950s-80s except more into Florida Parishes and South Mississippi now.

N.O. will be left with government dependents, criminals, a declining Yankee hipster population, a declining rich Yankee population, and the smug Uptown elites who will increasingly have to hire armed security.

You laugh but the thugs see that and think that being a thug can possibility get you the keys to the city....even though it's not an actual key, they arent smart enough to know any better

At some point, can people who still live in NO and get shot really blame anybody but themselves?

This is the path you've chosen, New Orleanians. Maybe you're doing your part by not actually shooting someone else, but getting shot by someone is the role you're destined to play by remaining there.

It's like living in Tijuana or Juarez and getting murdered. Then someone being like "HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED?!"

If I lived in Tijuana or Juarez as a middle class, 40 something year old gringo...I'd be hanging from an overpass long ago......

I dont feel like that is going to happen to me here

That pretty much sums up what’s happening now.

Maybe so. Maybe not. But you know the risks. It's a thin line between just being carjacked and then catching a bullet over it.

Fear not. The racist road on which he was riding (named for the only New Orleans mayor from Algiers) will soon be renamed P.B.S. Pinchback Place. Problem solved.

As long as the shooters stayed 6 feet from the victims, this isn't an issue.
