These daily little showers are ruining the 1 good thing of living in the heat of a Louisiana summer.

Cant even plan a nice day outside when it randomly rains for 30 minutes, 3 times a day. Just enough to keep the summer humidity high and the grass tall.

Subtle "we have rain" brag.

DFW with no measurable rain for 57 days, now.

Are you new? ....afternoon scattered thunderstorms in summer is what happens in S. Louisiana since the beginning of time, more or less.

It's never been as bad as it is this year. And talking Baton Rouge specifically... I dont think we've had 1 totally clear day in two months.

Must be summer...

Sun heats ground

Hot ground heats air close to ground

Thermals rise

High dew point means lots of moisture

Easy to make popup thunderstorms

Add in a nice sea breeze and you get days like today

Once one thunderstorm forms you get a bowling ball effect with new thunderstorms forming off of the downdraft/gust front as it acts as a mini localized cold front.

Kamala would say it's part of the global climate crisis. Just like she said about the rain in Kentucky.
