These rules are stupid and so inconsistent. I just got off an American Airlines flight where every seat was filled but restaurants and bars can’t fully open. Just because they have large lobby presence they are able to pack the plane with as many people as they want but a bar can’t open and sell some drinks. If you aren’t having consistency across the all the businesses then lift the restrictions. Thanks for attending my TED talk

It's not the bars, it's the "clubs". That's why the 11 PM shut down before the dancing crowd arrives.

There's a lot of difference between a neighborhood bar and a party scene such as City Bar.

It's just sad that our governor can't split those types of bars into two categories.

Now, think about stores being open at "limited capacity". Then, think about how high their actual, determined by code capacity is without Covid. Then, think about how often you have seen anywhere near a posted maximum capacity prior to Covid.

Now, think about the crowds you see at your average Walmart during Covid.

Yes, you did. We all have as the government has placed a lot of restrictions on business openings/closures/hours/shutdowns.

Businesses never should have been closed in the first place, nor government officials ever entrusted with that authority.

frick off. Those should be open too. Last I checked a bunch of nursing home patients and deathly ill human beings didn't go to clubs. Last I checked most people who go to clubs don't interact with nursing home patients and deathly ill human beings. frick off.

I would patronize a bar where the rules are you are only allowed to sit in your stool when not exiting/entering or heading to/from bathroom, and talking is against the rules. I solely go to bars to silently sit in my seat, not make eye contact with or talk to a single soul, and mindlessly stare at a television or my phone for a couple hours. People who stand at the bar and/or feel the need to talk to every single person at the bar at the worst.

This is what I miss most about bars, and there’s no way that covid would be spread with these rules.
