the Saint he's based off of was from Turkey
He may have lived in Turkey, but he was Greek

White people did live outside traditional European boundaries. Especially Christian mission types
So they took an actual historical figure, and made him black. Lets see how that would go if an ad ran with Nelson Mandela as a white guy

Why let it bother you. The only thing you should be aggravated with is the hypocrisy. Try to make Black Panther white and see the outrage.

Black Santa only eats fried chicken. what was Oreo thinking?

I mean, the Saint he's based off of was from Turkey so he absolutely was not this fat white dude we've turned him in to. He also wasn't a brotha either. Just use a Turkish dude and call it a day.
Wrong. The saint he’s based on was Greek, and he lived around 500 years before the Turks invaded modern-day Turkey.

Being white is NOT ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Santa is black, and in a commercial, there’s better than a 50/50 chance his wife is white.

I walked into the CVS in Denham Springs a few weeks ago and there was a black Santa near the entrance of the store.
This is in a town that many blacks feared to visit years ago.
Times have changed.

They can keep trying that shite, but St. Nick was white, period.
no he wasn't... he was from the city of Myra, which is located in present day Turkey... he most assuredly was not "white"

This bothers you why???
Aunt Jemima wasn't real. Why did that bother white liberals?
(Waiting for a leftist to come in here and scream, "Aunt Jemima (Nancy Green) was real!" and walk into the trap of admitting they culturally and commercially lynched a black woman to win themselves virtue points)

Dumbass. As has already been pointed out, the saint he’s based on was Greek, and he lived around 500 years before the Turks invaded modern-day Turkey.

Most pearls are white - so how does that make sense? Isn’t it more ‘racist’ to take off aunt jemima and then name it after something white?

people on the Anatolian Peninsula, as well as the Greek Isles didn't all of a sudden get olive colored skin in the last 1000 years bro...
Greeks, while not as dark as Persians/Middle Easterners, they damn sure wouldn't be mistaken for traditional "white" European people, or what the image of Santa is in America
and at the end of the day it's a fricking made up character, so what the frick does it matter? now, when someone tries to recreate George Washington as black, or Fredrick Douglass as white, then we can talk
