Was I asshoe or unreasonable?

Car was pulling to the left after I hit some debris in the road following the last storm. Last Wednesday I called a new, to me, shop to try them out, and the receptionist asks if I can get it there for 8 am the next morning.

Bring the car in at 8 and walk to a coffee shop with my work computer. Drink some espresso, work, get some coffee...after 3 hours I call, same girl says no it’s not ready we need to keep it. Fine, I get a ride...drive by the shop and the car hadn’t moved.

I call Friday at 3 and she tells me the rim is bent, and they can’t align the car with a bent rim, wants authorization to fix the wheel. I question why I wasn’t called...she says she was going to when she had time. I said fix it.

I call Tuesday at 10 and they said the wheel had come in late the day before and they’d get to it that day.

I call today at 3 and they said the car would be done late, close to 5. I show up at 4:50. Car hasn’t been touched. I asked for my bill and that I want my car back. Pay $275 for the tire repair and wait for my car. They seemed put off by my request. I didn’t think I was being an asshoe, I just wanted my car.

Anyway, the repaired rim fixed my alignment issues.
