being from Arky and thinking that everything is a potential place to put it into isn't quite the way it works, if you're done having kids, the big "V" is the way to go

If you are not an a-hole, the only acceptable reason for your wife to get her tubes tied is if y'all are having your last baby via c-section.

Otherwise, why not go for the simple outpatient procedure of a vasectomy. It literally takes 15 minutes and it's honestly not that bad. You feel a pinch for a couple of seconds during the local anesthetic. It's only a pinch because the doctor gives you a valium and some oxycodone to take beforehand.

Of course, if you are an a-hole, I suppose you could have your wife go under general anesthesia for major invasive surgery.

Personally, I'd rather be in and out of the doctors office and have my own script of pain pills and a few days of sonic ice on my nuts and have an excuse to skirt my responsibilities and play video games in bed.

1 no, it's still awesome.
2 no, oh well kinda. It was squirrel season and I thought I felt good enough to hunt a mile into the swamp with my cousins 2 days after. I got so swole I could not take the kids trick or treeting later. Ice cured it all though.

If you have enough kids, do it.

There is an important difference between a vasectomy and neutering...

Yep. Whole thing was 30-40 minutes. Mine was probably 10 minutes longer than most since it was my uncle and we talked family stuff for a few minutes.

Procedure itself is maybe 10 minutes.

So are they absolute? Like no matter what, they're not getting pregnant? Or should you still practice safe sex, etc?

This is exactly what I did. After watching what the wife goes through to push out three kids...it was the least I could do. Plus we never had a c-section so there was no excuse to have the tubes tied.

I sat in bed and caught up on my Call of Duty skills and finally watched “The Dome.” It was a couple of the greatest days I can remember.
