The Tank, Infantry, Mk III, Valentine was an infantry tank produced in the United Kingdom during World War II. More than 8,000 of the type were produced in eleven marks, plus various specialised variants, accounting for approximately a quarter of wartime British tank production.[1] The many variants included riveted and welded construction, petrol and diesel engines and a progressive increase in armament. It was supplied in large numbers to the USSR and built under licence in Canada. It was used extensively by the British in the North African campaign. Developed by Vickers, it proved to be both strong and reliable.

Doing this kit as a Soviet vehicle was an option. But I decided to go British.

Another awesome build. Do you ever create dioramas for these, even just a small one that is sort of a base for the model?

Also, how did these guys in North Africa avoid getting sunburned to Hell and back?

Close but not Buff. Can’t remember the exact shade now though and I’m not in my model room now. I’ll have to look when we get home.

It’s shaped similar to the Matilda. And both had the 2 pounder main gun. But the Matilda had heavier armor.

Anybody ever ask you if started posting these on youtube? Set up a nice studio, video your progress, post tips, etc?

I've watched plenty of model railroad buildings.

Never done a diorama. May try one day. The problem is they take up too much space.

They had early versions of sun screen I do believe.

Is that main gun a 40?

Edited to change...the German main gun at that time was 37. I think the brits used a 40?

I'd watch. I watch some guy repair/service watches and its relaxing.

Got to see a real Valentine at the El Alamein battlefield in Egypt.

Technically, it's called a 2 pounder, it was a 40mm gun but didn't shoot the same ammo as the Bofors 40mm AA gun...
