Vaccines Are Here...What's Timeline for Opening Up?

With the vaccines starting to be given to Americans today, does anyone know the timeline for when the mask and social distancing requirements are done and we can return to normal?
Seems like it should be sooner rather than later.

So, never

According to the Surgeon General, never.
He says the vaccine only keeps you from suffering serious illness, not infection. Therefore, you still need to wear a mask so you don't make others sick.

Once we all get our vaccination cards that will allow us to leave our front door.

Don’t know about y’all, but I am opening up 21 days after I have the first injection.

I don’t think we will ever see “normal” again. The company I’m an agent for has already cancelled travel and office re-entry for next year.

Google still down? You’ve come to the right place for objective answers.

47,000 were delivered in Colorado today, and we have 5.4 million people here, so a few months.

.@LouisianaGov: "While the vaccine will be critical in ending the pandemic, it is not going to save us now. That's what people need to understand --- it's not going to save us now."

.@LouisianaGov: "As we ask people to double down on the mitigation measures we're not asking people to do it forever, there really is light at the end of the tunnel."
Governor does say it will take time to get there.
= goal posts have been moved again

Considering that the vaccine won’t be available until the general public until March/April, probably sometime around May you’ll see most restrictions removed and probably a slow relieve of restrictions beginning around February when this latest surge is supposed to wane

What exactly does the general public mean in this context?
