Would you be ok with your daughter being a prostitute? While there's a lot of philosophical validity to the pros of the issue, viewing a woman solely as a receptacle for an orgasm seems at least a bit superficial, existentially speaking. My guess is men would frequent the same prostitute, and that evolves/devolves into a relationship that interferes with the marriage.

Guys can become prostitutes too if the demand is there. I would say that if your daughter became a prostitute, you did a bad job as a father. Luckily that’s not very common in first world legal countries like Netherlands, Austria, or Germany.

FTR I think prostitution should be legalized
But I don’t think that legalized prostitution is going to solve marriage problems -if anything it would create more if all parties are not on deck

But would most of those not immune to it get married in the first place? After a few generations, marriage wouldn’t even be as expected. Just like college these days, most people shouldn’t be there and the number of fake colleges should shut down, let alone enrollment at real ones.

Pretty much all guys would like imagine having a convenient side action with no emotional strings. However, getting into a side relationship requires time, money and effort. It isn’t worth it.

and I do not think prostitution is morally correct, but I don’t think women (or men) should be treated like pieces of shite because they made bad life choices and continue to make bad choices. The pimps thrive off of this and it’s disgusting. Not saying being monitored by the government would be a whole lot better, but there has to be a better way.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m still in love with my wife and sexually attracted to her. And we’re both middle age. I don’t expect her to look like she did when we first met, because I don’t look like that. And she is a freak in the bedroom and very good at everything.
So in other words, I don’t need a prostitute. Is that weird? Isn’t it the way it should be? Some guys get married too quick and/or don’t completely analyze everything about their bride to be before getting married. I couldn’t be with a boring lay in the bedroom.
