After my wife made a pretty blatant Facebook post calling out some of the shelters in our area (trashy I know) but IDGAF because they alsolutely deserved it. They got back to her within 5 minutes of her making that post. They’ve offered to “help” with the situation any way they are able but are unable to take the puppies in because of the risk of parvo in their fostering homes. Still waiting on an update on whether the shelter will pay for the treatments or not.

Unfortunately had to put one of the girls down at the Coreil clinic today.
Possibly going to that one or one in Oakdale tomorrow depending on how quickly we can get them seen and tested.

Can you let us know which one?? I'd love to call and make a donation -- not OT rich but a little something is better than nothing.

That’d be really thoughtful. We have spoken with one of the shelters after they finally got back to us. I’m waiting on feedback as to whether they’re going to cover the parvo tests or not.
If you’re going to be watching this thread, I will post an update as soon as I have more information.

VP sucks sometimes ... I know you're from that area but you sure are in the good guy category.
Can you share the shelter name??

We’re going to be taking them to the Coreil clinic in the morning.
Epar just let us know that they will not cover the cost of parvo testing.

Twix is coming around. Her stool is solid now and she seems to be pretty peppy. I was worried yesterday with the Parvo scare but I’m pretty she’ll be alright. Just a bad case of worms.

Taking the puppies to the Coreil clinic in Ville Platte now.
Their staff has been really helpful, And the total cost of getting all three puppies tested is going to be $120 which is really reasonable.
A couple of posters have already volunteered to chip in for the test. If you’d like to do so, call the clinic and let them know that you’d like to chip in whatever amount for the puppies being parvo tested.
