I cannot even imagine the absolute horror this poor little girl went through as she was being sliced and stabbed to death. Helpless, her mind trying to process what was actually happening. Terror stricken. And then the minutes or hours after the attack as she was dying. Wondering why her life was ending so soon.
And as a parent, I cannot imagine what they are going through, especially her father. For some reason, I know I feel this inexplicable burden that I need to protect them forever. Even though my brain tells me it's impossible. As crazy as he knows it is, I bet her dad will constantly play it over and over in his mind, dying inside thinking if only he could have been there to protect her.
It's gut wrenching thinking about it.

My first thought was if they worked together - they probably dated or had history with each other.
Never once considered BLM.

Some dude posted that he thought that the BLM influenced the killer. That was his thought.
When I read the killer worked with the victim, my first thought that they probably dated or had history.
Women are most likely killed by someone they dated.
In both cases, it's speculation.
Maybe if only one of those ideas is ludicrous, then that's another conversation.

If it's First Degree...it's life in prison without parole. They wouldn't be released.

It's a Jury call. A Jefferson Parish jury will have no qualms sending this guy to death row. I'd say, it's pretty much a done deal.

Hate crime and murder. Death penalty for all of them. Hopefully the DA won't get lazy and offer a deal for the ones that didn't do the stabbing but are murrders too.
