Had a friend that got caught sleeping half a dozen times. Each time the union argued he was just resting his eyes and he faced no consequences until he fell asleep one night and tore up a multi million dollar piece of equipment and caused another employee to go to ER for a minor (but still an injury) injury. He was promptly fired and it stuck

I was a supervisor in a plant and I had to let one of my best workers go in favor of a sorry no good worker with seniority due to staff reductions. Every time he was written up for anything the union got him off and he Knew this.

I've seen this many times. Unions are a cancer in the American work force. Their numbers have dropped like a rock, and more reductions are needed.

The only way these skilled workers get paid what their talent is worth is because of unions
Then how do non-union plants get any workers? Have you compared union to non-union compensation and mobility? In my experience, you guys strike for stuff that the employer would freely offer if the relationship weren't so adversarial.

I was a miner, I was a docker, I was a railway man between the wars, I raised a family, in times of austerity, with sweat at the foundery, between the wars.

Why in the frick would they donate to the Democrats?

One of the main things the Republican Party does is use US manufacturing. They don’t out source products to foreign countries

Almost impossible. I'm in supervision at a union plant. Documentation is key.
You can win or lose the case based on past practice. We have some lazy frickers that are usw. I got out of the union because of the last election it was the final straw for me. The way they throw race into everything and protect the lazy pissed me off..

The frick I wouldn’t.

I got stuck in the strike a few years ago at Shell and never again.

I’ll take my two week vacation then crossing the line with a smile on my face.

PPG lake Charles went out on strike 17-18 years ago for a two year stretch over benefits. After the second year they agreed to the same contract offered two years prior.

What does this even mean? The "worth" of a skill set is entirely subjective and determined by the person hiring AND how desperate they are to have said skilled person.
Its amazing how many people don’t understand this.

Some folks have never had a toilet back up in their home with a terd hitting the floor or someone's brain splatter across the living room floor

Worth of a plumber and a cleaning service goes up significantly
