Segue from the PT board thread on the topic of UFO's.
To start, I'm a skeptic. I self-describe as one being in the SETI crowd, of the belief that it's likely 'intelligent' life is out there, we're just too isolated to have found any evidence for it yet. So yes, I find the topic interesting to the point that I've done more than just watch a few episodes of X-Files.
For all the news about Congress and our military talking about UAPs/UFOs, what have we physically, tangibly seen that changes the game? I'm asking, because I don't know. To date, it's been words. Nothing more.
I don't bother with anything that Congress says. It's well established that body will fabricate pretty much anything it feels it needs to in order to perpetuate a story and to keep themselves in power. I dismiss their antics out of hand.
What does concern me though is the revelation by the US military that these things are 'real'. And by 'real', all they are saying is that certain objects appeared on radar or viewed by personnel exist, aren't glitches in any system or known craft operated by OUR country. But if that's true, why isn't our military doing more to find out the threat of these objects?
And make no mistake, any object(s) which can fly circles around our most advanced fighters is a threat. That's how a military SHOULD look at the situation.
And yet, the military seem almost halfhearted in following up this issue. Why?
I don't buy into little green (or gray) men, but there does seem to be a massive gulf in explaining what's been objectively admitted to existing and taking any directed action to discovering and understanding what these 'things' are out there.
What it doesn't seem to be is errant weather balloons, light refracting off of swamp gas, Venus, meteors, or any known tech we're capable of understanding, let alone reproducing.

Follow the money and the power.
There are people who want to rule the world and control the population by any means .
They have no issues with telling false fables.

The most accurate, truthful and factual observation in the entire post.

True.
But those who occupy the seats of power, they don't hold onto those spots forever. This has been going on for decades, if not longer. The world changes, different people have different goals and perspectives, so I can't fully buy into the idea that there's some all-encompassing club or deep dark society that keeps secrets that long.
It's one thing for the Illuminati, Freemasons, Knights Templar or fraternity to keep its own secrets. But this is global. Beyond global.
I've seen mass manipulation of the people, but this...?

Most everyone knows about Roswell NM. 1947
But how many know about the Battle of LA?
Or the D.C. flyover, in 1952?

Aliens and or other dimensional beings are not visiting this planet. The objects are either ours or misinterpreted radar information.

I mean they may be taking it very seriously but not telling us to keep the public calm.

True. And what about the Battle of Schrute Farms? The Civil War history industry has conveniently forgotten about the battle of Schrute Farms. Whatever. I'm over it. It's just grossly irresponsible.

Have you looked into Dr. Stephen Greer’s stuff? It is one angle/rabbit hole to look into that is the flip slide of conventional ideas regarding ETs. He has a couple documentaries on prime & it’s the opposite of the government/aliens are a threat idea. Of course, who knows if it holds any water.

I have a bit of an interest in UFO's, but Greer is way out there IMO. Saying you can meditate and communicate with aliens.. He's a fraud. I find the Bob Lazar stuff far more interesting.

We have multiple very recent instances of the highest levels of government confirming that they could not identify certain flying objects and found them to be worthy of classification and further study. Congress, M16 in UK, top levels of US military. There is something going on, and that’s what all UFO believers agree on

I agree, he is way out there. I’ll check out Lazar. As with anything of interest to me, I enjoy looking at it from all angles/opinions.

Yes I believe it. The technology being witnessed in these few outlier incidents is so far beyond our capabilities that it’s not likely to be secret human technology. It’s highly unlikely that we would not have some idea of technology of this level being developed as it would require a ton of people involved. These are aircraft doing things that are actually impossible with propulsion technology

Start with his appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast. I thought it was super interesting

Not sure about Greer but the overwhelming theory is that if aliens were a serious threat to our world that they already would have destroyed us or enslaved us. That’s why we aren’t disclosing, and that’s why our government isn’t overly concerned about aliens. Our government has contact with aliens and an agreement spanning over thousands of years that aliens have stopped directly manipulating our world and only are guiding us towards advancement. They likely directly manipulated our world and our ancestors thousands of years ago to help them develop. Higher level aliens provide guidance to us and protect our world, and little gray aliens run occasional testing on us and the world around us since they’re the low paid lab workers of the universe. And since they’re low paid workers, they occasionally frick things up, like Roswell
