I thought this was Germans, as a story was just posted like this last week. But nope, this is an entirely different lady.

I posted that one, it was a different lady, and the thread got whacked after 2 pages. I was like WTF? Just reporting the reporting.

No. But Corrupt Trump and his family got some PPP money. That is a fact. But then again, you people don't really deal in facts.

Unless your payroll is $400 a month you didn’t get a PPP loan. You got a $1000 EIDL grant. Not the same animal.

If it’s a PPP loan then I pity you for making $400 a month.

Probably the $1000 grant for running a one man shop. I figured it was a side gig for you.

The other thing that will come out is if she fraudulently received the loan by submitting made up payroll numbers. This has been the case in several of the cases that have occurred to date. IOW, she didn't really qualify for anywhere near $3.7 million

I work in HR and have my own consulting firm. I can guarantee you this is how it happened. The 941 payroll tax reporting tells the story on actual payroll expenses. It's fairly easy for the IRS/SBA to reconcile it against the loan amount.

And the large loans ($1M+) under the program are going to receive the most scrutiny from an audit perspective, not some small business owner who got a $10K loan.

I hear people say that the fraud is widespread, but it's actually not the case due to payroll reporting. And it will be a loan, not a grant, if the 60% payroll requirement is not met.

The only potential fraud that wouldn't be easy to detect would be self-employed workers, but their loan amount is limited to the 2.5 x $8,333 per month amount based on the $100k income limit. So, definitely not a huge amount.

I don’t understand some of these stories. Don’t they have to pay it back?
