My wife works 3 - 12s a week. RN at local hospital. I work M-F 7a-4p. We have 4 kids.
She does 100% of school drop offs. I pick up kids 50% of the time.
She does 100% of laundry and house cleaning.
Me and the older kids do 100% of the outside yard work.
I cook 95% of the time but that’s because I like to. Drink some beer and play with the kids outside. They always want to be outside. We may order out once a week.
Both off every weekend so we take the boat out or visit family.
I’m 100% at their after school activities (sports, 4H, etc) and she makes 85% of them.

Anecdotal, but more married men than women cook in my experience.

This is off topic but another rant on thinks that signal divorce incoming is when couples do his money and her money and don’t share finances. That doesn’t always mean that’s the case but it signals that the couple is living separate lives and aren’t truly a union through and through. I couldn’t be married to someone that wanted to keep her own checking account separate and we’d have to owe each other money for the bills, groceries, etc. No way Jose

And likely the only reason the wife truly does need to work full time is so he can drive an expensive truck, go hunting, have a boat, etc.

Right. The wife never buys expensive shoes and clothes. She never makes me go see some shitty movie in the theater. She never wants to go to a wine bar and order cheeses and shite.

Get over yourself. It’s a 2 person deal. I take care of outside chores, empty trash, and make sure all the bills get paid.

What do y’all think about situations like this, I think we’ve all come across it.

I've never met a couple that were like that. Life isn't Leave It To Beaver.
