If they were weights on a scale, you could put the entirety of LSU’s administration, faculty, and staff on the other side and they’d not come close to balancing.

Real MEN

Ubert and Lampton “L.C.” Terrell

“I said to the colonel, you’ve got a lot of other men,”

L.C. recalled. “He said, ‘’You’re the only man I’ve got that I can trust to do that.’”

L.C. took out two enemy machine gun nests with hand grenades that day, he said. He knew he could throw accurately because he'd spent a lot of time catching and throwing balls with a minor league baseball player he'd known as a civilian. He successfully lobbed a grenade into the nest, but only after crawling up the beach on his belly, his helmet mounted to a stick.

Yes

ETA. The last time I saw Mr. Terrell about 6 months ago he was still driving his own truck and getting around better than men half his age.

I'd like to see one of those gender pronoun bullshitters try to explain that crap to those guys. Old guys probably still kick their arse.

We don't realize how tough life was for boys growing up in those days. That quote says it all.

That’s my wife’s relatives and we Ubert a few times a year. Ubert still gets around good and has his wits about him. He walks around his property several times a day, that’s what keeps him going and ‘limbered up’ as he says. I know this goes against the archetypal war hero but he’s never been, at least by my estimation, the tough guy type or one to get mad, he can talk about people’s differences and opinions and never be disrespectful or rude. I guess he comes from a time when people were better at living with each other despite their differences.
