Tomorrow is going to be a pretty nasty day in Lower Alabama and the panhandle too.

I want to know to, that app monitoring looks badass

Mena, AR has become a winter wonderland within the last hour. Looks like it’s the only place in Arkansas so far that has problems with the roads.

it's an acurite 5 in 1 that I was given for christmas, it's mounted on an antenna mast on a fence in my back yard, no possible way i can get it up 30 feet high

Damn if I'm looking at the right one that thing is only around $100. I paid like $250+ for my ambient weather unit and that monitoring is way better than mine. App monitoring for mine is basically unusable

Monsoon just passed through the woodlands, kids were apparently brought into the halls to huddle in place

It's still pouring hard in the woodlands. I might have to swim back to the office.

sitting around 1006mb (29.707inHG) right now and falling at a good pace, and we still have a lot more time before the front gets to me, I usually don't see pressures this low unless there is a tropical system

Brief tornado on the ground south of Sugar Land seen on radar
Posted on 1/24/23 at 1:56 pm to 50_Tiger
It was embedded in the larger circulation. That larger circulation could put down a pretty significant tornado if it winds a little tighter

Radar loop for BR looks pretty brutal this evening..... Hunker down?
Posted on 1/24/23 at 2:09 pm to Impotent Waffle
It's gonna rain hard and be windy around 8 or 9 pm. Stay inside

Finally dropped one. Probably brief but heading right for Pearland.

The lightning within that entire line is wild.

And that's a stout tornado definitely on the ground.
