Those companies are violating their workers rights. If their workers want to get TB, they should have the right.

It's also one of the leading causes of death in HIV/AIDS patients. It's a nasty disease and still difficult to treat.

Not so fast my friend. There is a particular nasty variant in Mexico that could change the game. Some with a illegal alien soon to your neighborhood.

Yep. They are invading our country like never before. Unchecked and dropped off in a neighborhood near you.

From the CDC...

"In 2019, a total of 8,916 TB cases were reported in the United States; however, Hispanic or Latino persons continue to be impacted by TB at a greater rate compared to other racial and ethnic minority groups.

Several important factors contribute to the higher rates of TB among racial and ethnic minority groups, including Hispanic or Latino persons. These factors include being born in a country with a high rate of TB or travel to a country with a high rate of TB."

https://www.cdc.gov/tb/topic/populations/latino/default.htm

Coming in by the thousands...

Yep. I agree 100%.

That and how the homeless and prisoners survived. Especially the first wave when there weren't any vaccines. I'm still baffled by that.

None of it makes any sense if you really think about it.

I guess basic thinking and 3 minutes of Google research are the enemies of the right, because that's all it would've taken to answer his very stupid question.

I looked for three minutes. Couldn't find it.

Why don't we have to? It's deadly. And it's airborne. Just like Coronavirus/COVID-19.

It's the World's deadliest inifectious disease according to the CDC.

https://www.cdc.gov/globalhealth/newsroom/topics/tb/index.html

So why don't they mandate vaccines and masks and all the other s***?

"If it saves one life!"

You should research latent TB. Good chance you have been near someone with it. For those that worry about TB and are looking for the latest drug to combat COVID, rifampin is for you.

I almost think I would rather have the cancer, to be honest..

Kidding aside, I hope the end result was a good one.

Tice BCG I'm guessing. Last I heard about Tice is that they can't find a new manufacturer for it

Edit: Merck never actually sold it (they were trying to iirc) but shortage is still ongoing

Not sure on the manufacturer, but availability of the product for BCG treatment did seem spotty. My dad splits time between Florida and the mountains of NC, and he definitely had to do the treatments here in Florida because finding a urologist with BCG connections was easier here.
