We had some heavy rain and a little wind in saraland. I'm guessing it's over now. No rain and winds dead calm. Looks like its starting to pop off a bunch of tornados now .

The system that we have been tracking for a few days finally has enough of a well-defined center and organized convection to be considered a tropical storm. While the organization is not classical by any means, and there are some hybrid characteristics, the cyclone most resembles a sheared tropical storm, so the system is now Tropical Storm Claudette.

Tornado damage in East Brewton. We are all fine, but the trailer park is in bad shape.

'm just down the road in Portofino. It hasn't been bad at all. Much less rain than I expected. We are checking out today and heading back to Houma this afternoon after that last big band clears us

Pretty strong band of heavy rain in Gulf Shores. Looks to be outta the area around noon.

My named storm ded is less than my regular ded. Not by much but it is less.

And no I’m not confused and yes have verified with my agent. After reading about hurricane Laura horror stories I checked and doubled checked to make sure we understood our policy.

Vancleave, Landmass

Just a lot of rain and river rising at the camp. Don't expect it to come up much more than this. Seems like the wind starting to shift and come from the west, should start pushing the water out this afternoon.

Yet in NHC discussions, "it resembles a sheared tropical storm"

Doesn't sound like much of a storm to me and why the Golden Meadow baws working at Port Fourchon were laughing about it on Thursday. I bet even the low points of LA Hwy 1 struggled to get any water on them at a foot above the surrounding marshes and Bayou Larouche near Leeville

That happened to me in a regular thunderstorm in Lake Chuck over a year ago. Sounded like a hurricane but just a thunderstorm cell
