Not Bingo card worthy, but might affect your vacation to the Portuguese islands

Atlantic became organized enough to be briefly classified as a tropical storm

We need to make sure we find out if it's pronounced Ann-dree-uh or Ahn-dree-uh. The last thing we need is a hurricane pissed off because we committed the unthinkable sin of mispronouncing a name.

When people say there are more hurricanes now than ever before…this is what that is. 10-15 years ago, this would have never been named.

Before advanced satellite images and computer models, no one would’ve known this storm existed other than maybe a handful of ships in the area. But the mainstream media will swear that this is unprecedented.

Not for Destin. This is enough for Gainesville though.

I wish they wouldnt name storms that affect nobody. It seems to be a way for them to push up the numbers to be able to claim climate change is going to kill us all.

With that being said, everyone in an area that can be affected by hurricanes should take some time to check their houses (gutters etc) and make sure they are prepared. I guess even people in areas far from coastlines should check for things. Those people in NC didnt think they would get what they got.

Here is to hoping we have no major landfalls this year!
