The Siegen Village Shopping Center could be getting a Total Wine & More, according to permits filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s office.
In late October, a business called Louisiana Fine Wine & Spirits applied for a commercial occupancy permit for 31,226 square feet of space in the retail center, which it wants to use for “retail sales of packaged alcoholic beverages.”
Louisiana Fine Wine & Spirits registered as an LLC in June 2019 with Arizona Fine Wine & Spirits, LLC listed as its officer. The Maryland-based retailer is the parent company behind the Total Wine & More stores, which carry about 8,000 different wines, 2,500 beers and 3,000 spirits and is the largest independent wine retailer in the U.S.
Total Wine & More opened its first Louisiana location in Metairie in June and a second location in Lafayette in August and a third in Mandeville. The proposed Baton Rouge store would mark its fourth location in the state.
It’s not clear when the store is expected to open here. Leasing agent David Persac of Persac Properties could not be reached for further comment before this morning’s deadline, and Taylor Porter attorney Erin Kenny, who specializes in alcohol licensing and filed the permit application on behalf of the retailer, declined to disclose further details, noting the project is still in its “very preliminary stages.”
Comprising some 21 acres across from Target, Siegen Village is anchored by Office Depot, Planet Fitness and Big Lots. Last year, the shopping center was sold to the Houston-based Gulf Coast Commercial Group for $18 million.

Good scotch and wine selection. Bourbon and beer selection not on par with Calandros

Do they do any sort of wine sampling? I totally think we should go and make J1 drive us home.

Have one here in GA and the bourbon prices are higher across the board compared to several “mom and pop” liquor stores. They do have a good selection though
