Biden’s administration is looking bad with this spike! Time to prop him up by changing the rules. Hey, at least the regular flu is coming back!

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season.

We should want differentiation between the actual flu and COVID. That’s actually a good thing, regular flu cases not getting counted as COVID.

But for what it’s worth, when I had to get tested a few months back my local Walgreens swabbed for flu and COVID at the same time. That’s been readily available to the public for awhile.

The news here is that PCR comes back positive whether you have the flu or covid and that we’ve been over counting the covid numbers all along.

We said this at the beginning but now they’ve admitted to it.

If you tested positive using a PCR, you could have had the flu. It’s also a flu test.

It means the Mumbling Asterisk administration is failing so they have to change the rules.

So the tests up to this point couldn't differentiate?

I mean, all the test has to do is not produce a positive in the presence of flu and it couldn't do that?

1. Odds are low you know what multiplex means.

2. You probably thinking this is the only PCR test for covid.

I read it as this would eliminate the need for 2 separate tests.

Is the Biden administration still flying daily plane(s) full of unvaccinated (some already sick with covid) illegals into the US and turning those illegals loose?

This only refers to the CDC's PCR test which returns 9% false positives. There are COVID PCR tests that perform better.

A May Israeli survey published in the Lancet reported that the Pfizer vaccine was 44% effective against infection and around 90% effective against hospitalization and death.

Here in the US we have no reliable data because we have 1,000 healthcare systems instead of one. People who want reliable COVID info rely on data from Israel or England.

Looks like the change won’t take place until Jan 1st, 2022.

There are a few different platforms for the testing of viruses.
One is a panel (PCR) that detects many different viruses. It's expensive and will differentiate between each one.
One is an rapid antigen test that detects Covid.
Another one is a rapid antigen test for Flu A and Flu B.
Another test we have is a longer test , PCR, that identifies Covid.
There is no such thing as a test that doesn't distinguish between viruses.

Any questions?

We may have false negatives due to viral load or quality of specimen but I have yet to see a false positive.
