I was unsuccessful when tinder was free. Definitely not going to pay for it now

When my profile was active I had 5 matches out of over 1500 swipe rights...pretty pathetic

Seems like it would be tough to monetize it by other means other than by selling it to a social media company.

Actually, I can definitely see monetizing it by what I mentioned earlier--have advertisers pay for it. You get one free swipe per week and after that you have to watch ads. The advertisers can also put coupons into the system so if you and a potential date like the same bar/restaurant/music venue/etc. it'll recommend meeting at that location, and give you a coupon to use when you arrive.

Can't take too much credick for that idea--this thread inspired it.

You gets a certain number of swipes right and then you have to wait 12 hours to get more.

For $5 a month, you get unlimited swipes right.

They really could have done some stuff with the local advertising. The user is what gives it value. Don't run the users off. Invite the advertisers in.

If both potential matches like the same bar, chances are he's already gotten drunk and creeped her out at that locatiob. Besides, why would a bar advertise to people who already like it? Most people don't need an incentive to visit their favorite bar or restaurant.

Good point...might be better to match them to new venues based on their likes.

For me, back on my single Tinder days, I'd either meet up with a girl while we were both already out or I'd bring her on a date to one of a handful of bars at which I was somewhat of a regular. If I'm going on a date with a new girl, then I'm bringing her to familiar territory. Those venues don't need to spend money advertising to me because they know that I'll likely be there in the near future.

unless youre 30 or over, and its 20/mo

I've met 3 chicks from tinder, but I've had way more success from OKCupid. OKC is easier to have a conversation since a lot of Tinder bitches leave their profiles blank or very little written in them.

I said F it and paid. I actuallystarted doing a little better but maybe that was a coincidence...

Tinder is still the shite. I don't think I've had a Thursday in 2 months without a "date"
