I swear I got this ad because my dog shat all over the house during the freeze, and I complained within earshot of my iPhone.

Do you have Facebook app installed on your phone? Only times I've gotten weird conversation-based ads was when I had facebook mobile installed.

Powertool, no I don’t have Facebook. I had a Twitter account for trolling purposes only but I deleted it after the election.

Everyone thinks it’s Apple lol it’s every company’s app on your phone that you have where your microphone is enabled. You have to use the microphone for apps like tik, insta, and Facebook to be able to create, make content, etc...but if the microphone is on for the app and is in the “always on” mode, which is the default, all your apps on your phone listen..and that data is sold to advertisers for display ad purposes.
It also can cross devices by using your IP address from your wifi.
The government isn’t smart enough to know what to do with your data. People give them way to much credit and I’ve never understood it. The concern is with people hacking the government that actually can use the data.
