You need to realize that the further you go down the line from FBI and feds to State Police the cops get worse. You just cannot have the same level of professionalism for the cops of a town of 15,000 compared to most State Police and the feds.
The cops of Ulvade were bottom of the barrel in the LE hierarchy. Professional cops who are good work for the Feds or most state police agencies. Some states are better than others of course.

This isn't a prison, while I understand that's a major screw up in hindsight, that sort of thing is going to happen.
This is a big part of the problem though - adults having this lax attitude of "yeah..you'll have that on these big jobs."
Some things require precision in their execution. Security is one of those things. A simple alarm that sounds when a door is left unsecured can go a long way, but regardless the teacher that didn't secure the mother fricking door made a mistake that contributed to 20+ people being killed.

It seems as if we’re one press conference away from the cops admitting they shot some of the kids.

What was so god awful important that he had to be somewhere else?

This incident is a false flag operation for a direct attack on the 2nd amendment.
You actually believe in the recent past some clandestine federal agency contacted the watch commander(s) in Uvalde TX and ordered them to do nothing should a future mass shooting take place?
Or is it that minutes into the actual shooting, this federal agency contacted (from its super secret list of all watch commanders) the watch commander and demanded that he stand down and let kids murdered?
Jesus.

Absolutely. Blood is on their hands.

They already made a bizarre statement saying this so I wouldn’t be surprised

Texas law enforcement officials at a press conference say they believe that all the children that were shot and killed in Uvalde, TX were shot by Salvador Ramos and not anyone else [i.e. law enforcement].

Oh, believe? What do you mean you believe? You believe in the same way you believe you can fly like Peter Pan? I feel relatively confident the bullets used by the shooter and the cops are different, so you should KNOW whether you shot the kids or not.

I guess it depends on what feds we're speaking of here. I have no respect for the FBI either.

Yep, not like just because they are federal employees that they are any better at their jobs than some hick in a small town.
At least this one shouldn't bring out the gun control people, now that we know the police aren't going to act.
It to go hard with the "arm the citizen to protect the innocent".

He said it was from someone at the state's crisis meeting or some such. Likely not a celeb.

It's called a smoking stone. Every secure installation invariably has some idiot prop a secure door open while they go grab a smoke. Maybe it's cellphones now, but I'd bet it's littered with cigarette butts outside the door.
Doesn't excuse the incompetent incident commander, who is not necessarily the most capable person at the scene. Usually it's the chief of whatever organization who has often risen to their position by strict, mindless by the book thinking.
Those of us who have sat through all the ICS programs and been lectured by CalFire (who invented it) know what a bureaucratic mess it can be.
This will wind up being some pencil pusher who demanded everyone follow the rules while kids were getting shot.
They were busy having a giant ICS meeting while kids were bleeding out.

Their response was despicable, but its not unimaginable given how pussified law enforcement policies have become.
If you think the courage to rush in to save children from being murdered has anything in common with shooting unarmed people in traffic stops and no-knock warrants then you have a very warped sense of heroism.

We use to have militia for this reason… the paid cops aren’t controlled by the people who pay them. A militia are parents who care for their community, property, children and will die for it for free. This is why an armed community is a safe one.

Does the good guy with a guy theory still hold when the “good guys” stand outside and do jack shite?

Let's be fair to those cops...it was awful hot that day.

Around noon, Officer Ramiro "Ray" Martinez was off duty at home when he heard about the attack on the news. Having called the police station, he was instructed to go to the campus and direct traffic. Once there, he found other officers already doing that, so he went to the tower. He assumed he would find a team of officers there, but when he reached the 27th floor, he found only Cowan, Crum, and Day.
This tells you everything you need to know.

Someone super rich, and I know when Elon lived in LA he was often at city meetings to rework LA’s infrastructure. I wouldn’t put it past Elon to be on one of these meetings.

Also could be Matthew McConaughey. He was born in Ulvade
