I disagree.

Like Tbird said, it matters what socioecomoic tier you are in as far as seeing/hearing it daily. The internet and twitter has opened the box where people discuss it.

I find that the main people who actually care are the looniest lefties or the dying vanguard of racist bigots. Not like I'm having folks refuse me service at restaurants or call me pejoratives to my face because of my spouse or the nice neighborhood I live in (I promise that wasn't a humble brag
I could be wrong, of course, but I'm just not seeing it on the micro level in my day to day.

PC culture has made race relations intolerable. Everyone walks on eggshells. It's impossible to see people without the filters.
MLKs Dream has been put on hold.

The guy wants to live in Zamunda? Does he want to be the guy that brushes Akeem's teeth, makes him gargle or wipes his mouth after he spits? Or maybe his sister or daugther could be a royal bather and clean the royal penis. I love Coming to America, but the royal family don't even wipe their own butts..

Ehhh, that's hyperbole based on the shrillness of our media environment, I think.
My life and the lives of so many normal people I know are direct examples of MLKs dream. Now we have to find a way to combat the crazies who missed the mark of what he stood for.
No easy task, since those divisive voices are almost always the most boisterous in any environment, but I think most normal/moderate people outnumber that, save for super liberal or deeply backwater conservative strongholds. We've abdicated control of the national discourse to people like that, and it's creating a perception that, in my humble opinion, doesn't jive with day to day reality for most folks.

The movie was great.
The shenanigans were okay as long as they stood on a star wars nerd level. Some I guess went a tad overboard for a fictional movie.
In order for any society to be like Wakanda requires a special ore no one else can obtain that more than likely is there due to an infinity stone landing on Earth.
So there is zero possibility of Wakanda ever being real, whether it was full of Black or White folks.

Anybody seen the African clothes Gravy bought to watch the movie in? Looks like he's wearing a fricking blanket.

White nerds of America know 1000x more about these "new" black hero's. I find that comical.
I still want to know how they worship Wakanda now and everything about this movie and then run home and call the kid out there that is going to school to get educated and out of the ghetto many harsh names. Pretty hypocritical.

There are well over 100 marvel black heros. Probably more DC.

I certainly have no problem with black pride as long as those individuals have no issue with white pride.

I was wondering how many yards of fabric were needed to cover his rotundness.

Black power salute, circa 1968.
