Stuff is expensive but I discovered sort of a loophole. If your using Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlese, which is the expensive non-fussy stuff. I call it expensive. $43 for 40 oz.
If you use Scan and Go at SAMS, they have it coded as HSA/FSA eligible items. I've bought about $450 worth of bulk formula this way. If you go through the register it is not eligible, nor is it eligible on any FSA/HSA website. This is only for the Enfamil Gentlese or Sams version.
I've got about 120 day supply of this stuff and really didn't cost me much out of pocket. We were already maxing a HSA account and whether you believe it should only be held for investments, this has kind of been a godsend.
Now our HSA is not reimbursable, its through an account that verifies it based on an applied eligible code from the store in real-time. My wife's HSA sucks balls because its all reimbursable.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass along this find.

Your kid isn’t getting an athletic scholarship on formula alone. Supplement in some gainer formula

Our almost two year old is on allimentum her whole life. She has a severe allergy to dairy and eggs. My formula bill is about $300 a month.

In all seriousness, this is great information. My wife’s titties were on the C team for milk too.(A team for presentation). Formula was dumb expensive. I’ve shared similar information with new parents in the past. You alright double D.

I gave my toddler mass gainer in a bottle this morning. Less in hopes of a scholly and more to shut her up because she’s always hungry, but if the full-ride happens, so be it.

This work for Nutramigen? A coke hobby would be cheaper than this powder

Right at a year we were able to transition from enfamil to whole milk and it’s been amazing.

A common misconception. It’s not the nipples, it’s the XX chromosomes that (looks at lack of scientific vocabulary) do boob stuff to make mommy Milkers.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I put like $218 a month into the HSA. I think my cost projected right now is $170 a month for formula using Sams bulk buy. Kid is 7 weeks.
So its helping a ton and as they need more, its only going to grow I think.
I debated putting this "hack" out there because I didnt find it referenced anywhere online or advertised, but I figured it might help some people that really need it.

Exactly. Mother Nature doesn't make all women equal. My wife had the same issue. We had to use Elecare due to dairy allergy. Damn can is $50 a pop(a 3 day supply).
Glad the formula period is over and now the kid is drinking whole milk which can be expensive but no where as formula.

Why haven’t you done your part to breast feed your child yourself?
