Nope. Different circumstances altogether. If this is a legal gun and the basic facts show an attempted carjacking, I’ll bet my life this guy ain’t charged.

But the DA egregiously overcharged someone acting in self-defense, contrary to the law, which you suggest is not possible because the law is the law. If those running the system want to frick this guy, that's going to be determined at trial. Just like what happened with Rittenhouse.

Why did you ignore the second part of his comment?

Contrary to what people may think, THAT would not be politically popular AT ALL in New Orleans. Even most of the awful democrat voters aren’t happy with this shite.

Respond to this instead.

The liberals will do all they can to make sure that the shooter gets sued to make his life miserable and maybe get some money out of him.

They actually believe that this kid had a right to his vehicle and without and evidence of a weapon, they’ll try to show that he was not a threat to the shooter.

Rather than try to correct this kid from his thug life, they want to embolden him and others to go take your stuff because…. They deserve it.

What’s the charge? Louisiana has essentially the Castle Doctrine for your car.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Castle Doctrine. According to the article, the victim was hiding behind another car and claims that the perp still had the gun pointed at him. That's when the victim shot the perp in the neck and ran inside his house.

I think the fact that there were two of them helps his i.e., even though he was hiding behind the car having a fear that one of the assailants could flank him.

You’re right if that’s the facts. I initially read the blurb but not the article.

I still sand by, if that’s the facts, Williams ain’t charging this guy with anything.

Yep. We all talk a big game about shooting any attacker, an I have no doubt that many of us would follow through. But it would definitely be a life altering event for all involved. You’re very likely to end up with $50K in legal bills all because you shot the ‘would be’ car jacker.

What if they don't?

I mean, suppose for just a minute that what you predict doesn't actually come to pass. Would that have any effect on your future predictions?

Is there a GoFundMe set up for the carjacking victim yet? He will probably need a lawyer before it is all said and done.
