dude, those time remaining codes have never been accurate or worth anything. If you know coding at all, you know it's not practical at all.

I understand in Windows since during most file transfers the operating system doesn't know the performance of the two mediums.
Apple is sitting on a known platform. Sony has never had an issue with the PlayStation updates.
There are numerous ways to approach a progress bar though. Some just require a lot more known information
