This is how you become a legend

Woke up to this scene in my front yard early this morning…
I’ll preface this by saying I wouldn’t be posting this if the guy didn’t walk away unscathed.
And he was just a good ol’ boy, never meaning no harm.
Left the road well in advance for a nice run up…
Launched that bish straight up Dukes of Hazzard style over my driveway, (destroying my culvert in the process but I’m not even made because this feat was so impressive)…
Achieved full airborne status before reconvening with Mother Earth over 70 feet away (I measured)…
Looks like impact was front end first, then flipped it to the backside, crushing the tailgate like a stomped tin can…
Again, thank God they just had to remove a truck and not a body from my yard. Hope the guy immediately went and bought a lottery ticket while his luck is running high.
And he should never have to pay for a beer again in his life. You walk into a bar with that story, the person next to you better be buying.
Legend status: [achieved]/not achieved

Tailgate is wrecked. Sobering scene.

Might be financially cheaper to do this than pay for gas over the next few years

Given present truck pricing, salvage value on that Ram is still prolly 40k.

Allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.
And apparently Jesus didn’t take the wheel...but certainly helped out once he got airborne.

Might have made it 90-100’ if not for hitting the culvert

But did his truck nuts sustain damage?

Did you hear it and then go out side to see WTH was going on?

"I was recklessly driving and smashed up my truck. Buy me a beer"

What a-hole called the Boy Scouts to give this legend paperwork?
Posted on 4/3/22 at 10:31 pm to SuperSaint
Damnit, I just gave 50 bucks to the boyscouts today.

My house sits a few hundred feet back from the road. My dog jumped up and started barking in bed and woke us up. I just went into the living room, saw no one was breaking into my house, then dragged my arse back to bed. My neighbor called a bit later - he heard it and went out there, then called me and told me to come get insurance info for my culvert. He said he heard a loud boom, then like 3 seconds later another boom. He lives a good 600 ft. away from the impact area.
