Yes, the gov't has nothing better to do than control your electric cars.

My god, people on this board keep getting dumber by the second.

You seriously think that we're not headed in the social credit score direction?

And it won't be "the government". It'll be private companies doing it at the behest of the government's wishes. Hell, look at social media networks. The government overtly admitted that they were flagging "disinformation" for Facebook to censor on their behalf.

I bet you were one of those retards that called everyone a lunatic for thinking the government was going to force people to get a vaccine too

SO bizarre you're obsession with Tate here, and avoiding the plethora of conspiracies being pushed into the mainstream by your own people. Tate seems to have become the latest pop fad for you left wing bubble types.

Yep, our future is an authoritarian technocracy, where chosen "experts" and megacorps run things at the behest of government.

Its no conspiracy. Stupid little shits have been scared by their precious pop media into avoiding anything that's not "Mainstream approved."

12V Cummins

I'd put that engine in a lot of trucks, simply because they are simple, solid, and can be fixed with basic tools.

I don't even need to fear EMPs to want that vehicle.

Conspiracy theorists have been shown to demonstrate lower Intelligence Quotas (IQ). Their brains can't reconcile large scale effects without equal large scale causes. So, to fill in the gaps, they restore balance in their brain with outlandish explanations. Take, for example, 9-11. It's hard for some brains to fathom that a handful of hijackers could cause such wide-scale destruction and economic turmoil. Thus it must have been an inside government job. Or, the assignation of Kennedy. No way, in some minds, could an insignificant-lone gunman take out the leader of the free world. Ergo, must have been the CIA or mafia. Or the moon landing, or COVID-19, the list goes on and on.

This is something someone that participates in criminal conspiracies would say.

The irony of this pejorative is that fact that a “tin foil” hat would protect your head to some extent if you were worried about electromagnetic radiation. It’s the same reason you are protected in your car from lightning during a thunderstorm. The car body acts a Faraday cage.

Most ICE cars can be shut off remotely now.

No, only models with cellular modems which are not that prevalent yet.

ICE vehicles are easier to bypass such things too. Fuel pumps can be jumper wired as well as ECU's after the modem is disconnected. There no data link when putting gas in them either. Not the same with EV's where such technology can be embedded deeper and they require a data link even to recharge.

I am not even sure what you are trying to say. Are you suggesting when you plug your EV into your charger at home it is sending data back to the manufacturer through the charging interface?

Same as any other ICE vehicle, the EV needs access to the internet to send data back to the manufacturer. Typically just like in ICE vehicles that is done via cellular now, which is pretty standard in most modern vehicles just for SOS systems.

That's probable but at a very minimum the car and the charger are sharing data during the charging process.

Only those with such a system active, none of mine do. Also, with ICE vehicles it's far easier to work around such systems, including replacing the entire ECU with an aftermarket unit.

The SAE J1772 standard does allow for charging data to be passed during the charging process. But just like with your ICE vehicle you can disconnect your charging station from your home internet. However it is very unlikely that the charging port is passing information besides charge levels and presence.

You don't think after market ECUS for EVs will come into existence? If anything controlling DC motors will be much more simple.

Oh wait they already exist
