The current US population is 331 million legal citizens

This should be fun......

Can we agree that the average person that died had at least 500 people that knew them personally or knew them through a friend or family member? Some had much less and of course some had a hell of a lot more

That being said...I cant see how anyone can say they didnt know anyone that died from COVID or knows anyone that knew someone that died from COVID

I do not. I know people that have an uncle or some shite that died, but no one I've ever met died to my knowledge.

I don’t know anyone that was say a family member or what I’d call a friend, but there’s probably 10-15 people I know of that have died. My dad’s boss for example died of it. There’s been some other people I’ve met once or twice or whatever but that’s it.

No one I knew directly has died but a couple I know of have. What is striking is how limited the visibility is for the affected families, i.e. lack of news stories, sad stories about families left behind, funerals, etc. What that tells me is that a great many of these dead are the very, very old who were near death anyway. If we had 500k dead in this country who were kids or in the prime of their lives it would have been a whole different story.
