From where? Colorado? I'd imagine most of the weed around here is from Mexico via Texas and that most of the addicts on the side of the road are opioid, meth or heroin addicts.

our laws today are written with no teeth. they are designed so the bureaucracy, at the behest of the executive and the cabinet can dictate which interpretation of the law they wish to use or enforce.
to remove weed from schedule 1 status would take a phone call and a press conference.
it was something I hoped Obama would do his 1st year in office. one of the only good things I thought might come of his presidency.
I also thought we'd draw down the war machine, but he just increased it and put his people in high level pentagon and lifelong military command positions.

There are some differences between the moderate right and left. They are both big spenders but disagree on what to spend it on.
You'll get more social programs from the left, more military spending and tax cuts from the right. Most moderate Republicans wouldn't attempt any more restrictions on guns because they'd lose too much of their base.
As late as 15 years ago or so, Dems used to be pretty anti illegal immigration to protect the American worker, but they've started to see that as too big of a voting block to alienate.
It's all a game. Neither of those parties have our best interests at heart anymore.
