I wish Trump would come out and say he supports the decriminalization of marijuana. It would help him out so much I think

It pretty much is unless Trump pulls out a last second EO to help win the election we probably aren't getting legalized weed on the federal level for some time.

Unless the demand becomes far too big to ignore it's going to take a libertarian or progressive president to legalize it

Maybe some of the younger ones. I think you'll have to have a changing of the guard from a generational standpoint first.

I don't even want to use it as a revenue source. Sure, if it's sold in stores you can charge sales tax. But I think you should be able grow it your backyard too. I have some pretty radical views on drugs though. I think we should legalize all of them.

He would do it if his Christian conservative base wasn’t too prolific.

100%

It has destroyed the poorer communities especially the urban ones. Not to mention the Cartels are raking in the money off the black market because of the WOD

Yeah, that’s pretty much the California set up, which I would support. Lot different from Vermont, for example, which has lost shite tons of tax $ due to how they initially structured the law when it went legal there.

the establishment IS the embodiment of 100 years of progressive victories.

even Republicans greatest hopes are progressive ideals.

ETA: as Michael Malice says "conservatism is progressivism driving the speed limit"

thats how complete the progressive victory has been in the past 100 years.

the old right doesn't exist.

Obama was certainly a progressive. look at his court picks, his use of the IRS as a weapon, the demagoguery, and then the trashing of the congressional system to get his healthcare framework in place.

you may not have a clear idea of what progressivism is. it isnt whatever the latest hippie leftist fad is in Austin, San fran or Nashville.

it's our giant opressive corporate establishment, and it's a global cancer as well, if the events of the last 6mo isn't enough to convince you

woodrow Wilson won. and we're all worse for it.

Trump is basically a blue dog Democrat and people have lost their minds for 4 years like he's Calvin Coolidge

No way. Marijuana makes people violent criminals. That antifa cuck who shot those two cops? Probably got high on marijuana before he did it. Count me out.

all the places that legalized weed all have a homelessness issue now, they have the need for bail reform because everybody is getting arrested for theft. Illict Drug use has skyrocketed.

"Gateway drug" appears to have been right the entire time.

Um....what? If you’re going to make shite up, at least pretend to back it up with stats. The lunacy of thinking cannabis legalization has caused a rise in theft.

it's kinda crazy to see. Trump is basically a 90s Clinton Democrat, policy wise. he just snipes ppl on Twitter and says funny/normal person shite.

you can't say that and wear a suit!

is there a better example of a total victory for the left than than the right wholly supporting their opponents ideas from 30 years ago?

No dude you don't know what progressivism is. There's a civil war going on inside the Democratic Party and it's the establishment vs the progressives.

Progressives are antiestablishment people such as Bernie, Tulsi, Yang, and AOC. Progressive voters do not like Hillary, Obama, or Biden.

They want M4A, legalized marijuana, ending the WOD, green new deal, ending the wars in the ME, and some also want free college as well as UBI although that's not as popular as the others.

There's a reason you don't see Biden, Obama, or Hillary calling for any of these it's because they're part of the establishment. And no decriminalization is not legalization

Almost everyone under the age of 45 regardless of political party thinks weed should be decriminalized. It isn't a west coast thing.

Not really. It's like if I had a war against racoons and was trapping them, but the wife keeps letting them go.

I caught the raccoons and all I needed to do was fricking kill them and they would never have been a problem anymore....but she let them go.

Well, I'm not sure what we did in BR but homelessness/panhandling has exploded in the past 10 years.

It's almost like people are going to do drugs whether they are illegal or not, and your average middle aged married couple will still probably try to keep up their lifestyle. I really don't care if they do a few lines of blow at home on the weekend
