TBH, most places in the US were great during that time. Right before the bullshite in the middle east we would be tied up with for 30 years and before the internet. You could do shite and not everyone would know about it.

As Bill Simmons loves to say “all of these 80s movie ideas made because of coke”.

First pic is probably ‘89, but the second pic in the OP is definitely from the 1970s.. the cars (on the street, not the band) and the Judy Collins billboard give it away .

Used to go to that bar on the corner all the time when it was called Red Rocks.. Actually spent the evening of 9/11/2001 there, watching shite unfold on the tv.. other than that night, it was a fun place .

I was just watching an Eddie Money tribute concert the other day on AXS tv that was filmed last year.. it was hosted by ……. Louie Anderson, of all people .. who then proceeded to die the next day.. They are dropping like flies .

Yes, the South Bay (Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo beach) - is all absolutely hideous…. Same with Bel Air, Hollywood Hills, Mulholland Drive, Malibu- just terrible places……
