I like how almost all the ones in BR are in heavily "urban" areas

The pharmacies will only receive roughly 100 doses in the first batch, and the Health Department has already reported phone lines at pharmacies being tied up because of interest in the vaccine.

This is going to take forever

They've had several months to plan for this scenario and their solution is "just call and see if you can get it"

This is government at it's finest.

I feel like if the government assigned days and times and locations to people, everyone would bitch and complain about that as well.

The problem with any government agency or government-funded agency is that most of those in charge of decision-making have always worked in government. If they had simply worked somewhere where they were held accountable they’d be able to make better decisions. Instead they’ve simply coasted along their entire careers.

I was in one of Pharms last week to pick up some meds. They had just opened and the phone literally would not stop ringing with people wanting to get on the list as well as people walking in. The owner told me he also had well over 100 messages on his voice mail asking to get in line.

This time period will be one hell of a study one day on human psychology as a herd.

You could run the same exact study by watching the line at a buffet form

I read it's due to number of folks with limited access to transportation (no car makes it tougher to go across town without sitting on a bus)

If this mRNA vaccine can produce protein structures to mimic COVID antigens how do you know that there are not other mRNA molecules to produce other protein structures for tracking purposes?

It's pretty infuriating to see states struggling with this. It's not that difficult.

Look again.

Four of the participating pharmacies in the Baton Rouge area are in the "urban" area and four are in the 'burbs including two pharmacies in Zachary and one each on O'Neal Lane and Greenwell Springs.

I think you're being a little paranoid.

We can set up testing centers all over town but they can't do the same for covid vaccinations?

There are only 2 things the Gov't is good at:

1. Nothing
2. Over Reacting

The real issue is the supply. Only 10.5k at this point? It's been 3 weeks now. I would have thought the supply would have ramped up by now but clearly it isnt.
