I used to think that Americans, if presented fair and accurate information on what this govt spending does, would be against more spending.
But now I doubt it. People will happily trade gratification today for pain tomorrow and the next day, and the next day…

The majority of Americans are dumb as frick. The founders knew this and it’s why only landowners could vote and why we have a republic and the electoral college. Do you think those were just accidents? Or was it maybe by design?
The modern day democrat thinks they are smarter than the founding fathers.

102.

Goddamn Americans are fricking stupid. Universal suffrage is the worst thing ever. Some people just don’t deserve a say in their own governance and it’s time we all admit it.

The same folks would probably agree with the government forcing interest rates down again, offering more student loan forgiveness, and increasing housing subsidies.

Most Americans are barely literate, so I believe it.

Whats the problem? The obvious solution to fight inflation is to further water down our currency by artificially increasing the money supply. I mean they teach you that day 1 in kindergarten right after the tranny gives the sex ed lesson.

Meh, the GOP voter base is notoriously fickle on the subject of spending cuts. They eat up the tax cut and spending cut rhetoric in the election, but they only really want the tax cuts. This is the reason GOP presidents tend to run higher deficits in their first couple of years than the preceding Democratic President they replaced. They get their tax cut package passed and turtle up on unpopular spending cuts. Then we hear “don’t worry, the tax cuts will pay for themselves.”

It’s literally impossible to cut entitlements to poors and old people.

63% of Americans have no idea how inflation works.
