I miss ET1 and ET2, Jet Tiger, etc..posts

TigerRoar was really good in 2002-2003. Many of the posters there came over here in 2004-2005.

Sometimes if you post historical things they get deleted because certain people get pissy about it being brought up

I started lurking here in 2003 during the Championship season. The board was much smaller then and seemed just like a group of friends sitting around talking sports and ribbing each other. I didnt sign up for several years because the board back then seemed more hardcore. It had a lot of useful information, but at that time it seemed like all the posters knew each other in real life. So I'd read, but not post because it was like I was snooping on someone else's conversation and I didn't want to butt in. Then by 2007 it seemed like there was enough new posters that I could join and kind of sneak in to some conversations.

Hard to believe the site has been around 16 years plus. I used to read Tiger Lair for LSU news and remember when LSU and Nick Saban was killing it with the 2001 recruiting class with Marcus Spears, Michale Clayton, Marquise Hill, Ben Wilkerson, et al on Tiger Lair. I have mostly read the rant off and on over the years without posting much. I'll admit that TD has a way of bringing someone back and back again just to keep up with news, although, there seems to be a lot more false reports in the last few years. Looking forward to more years reading posts (the non-rantard ones at least) from the regulars. I recognize a lot of the usernames from you all that registered back in 03-04.

I came here during the "lsu/usc" rivalry back in 07. The SEC rant was far more civil. It was mostly Bama and Auburn fans. Somewhere along the way, it went off the rails. I don't even know if they have admins over there.

2000 or 2001 site started
2002 site adds message board
2003 site is reset and you had to re-register

The first board were the rant, ticket exchange and the OT. I'm pretty sure the poli board was added not long after. Back then the OT was actually news, jokes, and hard legging. Everyone actually kept politics on the poli board unlike today where half the damn threads around here are thinly veiled politics.

Tigerroar, the LAIR was the more popular site before Tiger Droppings, it's where the Evil Twins would post all their inside scoop which was usually wrong.

Pretty sure it's still a site

It is.

Before tigerroar there was the mailing list. I think it was called CYBER TIGERS or something. Basically it was a bunch of us emailing back and forth in the mid-90's

I believe the SECRant opened up in Apr 2008 as a message board. SECRant.com came about in 2011.

Like the bar that's always open. Then the Rant got overrun with idiots, so I quit hanging around and only recently wandered back in.
