From what I'm reading the Ukraine/FTX deal was jusy to receive donations and UKR converted to fiat for expenses. Where are you getting info that US gov't deposited to FTX or UKR took our funds and deposited them w FTX? Doubt UKR would have excess reserves to speculate in crypto.

The only sources I have seen are websites linking back to each other and maybe a tweet from someone who just throws it out there. But hey now its accepted as fact.

So was this guy a legitimate genius running a legitimate crypto trading platform and just shifted money to his girlfriend at Alameda, and she lost her arse trading? Or did he and his GF embezzle the money? Is he an Elizabeth Holmes type fraud, or a Madoff type fraud, or both?

Well, they're supposedly on the run now, so I'd say embezzlement is the leader in the clubhouse.
Even if it was just shifted, it was $10 billion. Of course they're going to dip into that. You could lose a lot of money out of $10 billion before anyone even noticed.

Ok, help out with a link then. Even on Blaze, all I find is this Blaze FTX/UKR which only says the FTX/UKR deal was a conduit for donors to funnel crypto donations into UKR's national bank.

It's very likely this.
I don't think the exchange itself was in trouble...until he stole billions in customer deposits after funneling company money to Alemeda.
His gf was a terrible investor
