There is such pleasure in having a place to go and something to do, and money to take care of yourself and others. Also some of my best friends and best times have been in the job. Thank you Lord!!!!!

You don’t have to go to work you get to go to work.

sounds like "white privilege".
CNN says you should feel ashamed of your good feelings

I am thankful I am retired at a semi-young age and can do whatever I feel like doing. I stay busy but screw getting a paycheck.

The way its written, sure. I am so beyond thankful for my job. It's good money, extremely stable, and I have a bright future there.

I’ve stopped a few times since the lockdown started in the spring to thank God that I’m not jobless. My job puts some stress on me, but the pay’s good and it’s certainly better than the alternative.

I feel the same way-incredibly grateful. My husband and I work for the same company, and they haven’t furloughed anyone even though that’s been quite prevalent in our industry. Our salaries haven’t been cut, and our health insurance is only going up $7 a month for 2021. We’re working from home and will be for the foreseeable future.

I get it in life you need some purpose info whatever this reason toil and labour is one of our purposes. In my life I was blessed to work in the industry that was my chosen one, from basically 13-14 years old I knew wanted to work in a certain field and I was able to do.
And I was doubly blessed not only to work with good people along the way but gain a sense of accomplishment and purpose. I rose to the top of my game. I was among the best there was it doing what I did.
of course, there were struggles good seasons bad seasons but it was doing something and accomplishing something in a field that I felt was important, the made a difference in my community and was a challenge for me, made me feel alive.

We often don't realize how many blessings we have until something changes

I’m also thankful that god loves me more than he loves poor people.

Interesting tidbit. I’m a Probation and Parole Officer working on my second career. We’ve had six officers in my office either quit, transfer or be fired this year. All of them have protected status to a degree. Meanwhile us older guys come in every day and pull the oars to keep it going. The difference in work ethic is stunning these days.

None of these six officers have been replaced and chances are we will have a hard hiring freeze implemented by the Governor very soon.

I wonder what they plan to do when the economy absolutely tanks in a few months under the leadership of Harris/Biden.
