PSA.

So, we've got that going for us. The hard liquor blue laws are still stuck in committee so that's not likely to happen anytime soon (years). In the meantime, being able to buy beer and wine before noon kickoff will have to do.

LOL. Louisiana continues to lead the nation in drinking laws.

You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning.

We can buy it at 6am on Sunday. It was pretty annoying when it was noon and you wanted to have a football party though. Dumb laws.

So many little communities in DFW are still dry outside of restaurants. No liquor stores in Mansfield is crazy. I don't understand blue laws.

Living in Ohio all of my adult life, it always amazing me to see liquor in gas stations in Louisiana

Growing up it was pretty funny to see all the dads at church hustle out by 11:45 and head to the country club to watch NFL games and pound Schlitz, Lite and Lowenbrau. Only place in the county to buy booze on Sundays here until 6 years ago. Moms and kids would meet there shortly after to get the potluck lunch set out.

I remember the days when you were allowed to buy almost NOTHING in Louisiana on Sunday. Commerce on Sunday was an abomination unto the Lord.

So they spent time drafting a law to bump the purchase of beer and wine only, up two hours?

Been living here since September (moved from Louisiana) and it's absolutely mind boggling that you can't buy liquor on Sundays (nor in Grocery stores at any time).

You had to really plan ahead in our county. Had to hit the next county Saturdays before 9 for liquor or midnight for beer. Pain in the arse.

First the ability to carry in public and now early beer. Texas is a good place to be.

Because most, if not all, new Texas laws go into effect September 1 following the date of enactment.

I came precariously close to not having a birthday gift for my mom because of this. Sel-Mart bailed young rs13 out.

Pathetic that there are any time restrictions on buying alcohol to go.

Tired of this shite. Sick of paying inflated prices for liquor from a select few businesses.

It’s going to be nice. We generally get together at my brothers house on Sundays and sometimes not being able to get beer until noon blows.
