What age are kids learning to ride without training wheels these days?

Son is 4-1/2 and been riding for 3 months. One day he kept bugging me to take his training wheels off, so I did and told him he was probably gonna bust his arse

He hasn’t fallen once yet

That’s pretty solid. With kids these days I was expecting 9 or 10. Maybe there’s hope.

Let me get this straight, you are getting free childcare from your in laws but you are also upset that these people who are giving you free child care also taught your child to ride a bike?

Teaching a kid to ride a bike without training wheels isn't a Hallmark memory moment.

Not ready: they whine and cry and fall and get hurt. They run to mom and then both child and mother hate you.

Ready: you hold on to seat of bike for 4 seconds. They take off and it's done. Then, you are on foot chasing them down the street.

tl;dr you didn't miss much

I understand your being upset. I finally got my son to ride a month ago and the feeling of pride was irrationally high.

shite.... with as much time as my wife and I've spent trying to get my daughter to ride without training wheels, I would actually PAY my father in law if he taught her

Start with taking off 1 training wheel. Which ever one they lean the most on.

my moment with each of my kids were glorious. They both jumped off their bike after their accomplishments, ran into my arms, i had Florida Georgia line blasting on the block rocker in the back ground, we hugged, we kissed, we shed tears of joy and they told me i was the best daddy in the world.

Teaching them to ride is really easy. Just tell them to pedal really fast and they will get it by nature. Hold on the seat and run with them. Let go when you stop having to hold them from falling to one side. I taught all of my kids this way and it usually only takes about 10-15 minutes.

TDsngumbo's Son: Daddy, teach me to ride a bike please. All the kids my age have been riding for months.

TDsngumbo: Go ask your grandpa, boy. Daddy has important business to take care of. The OT needs to crown an OT 10, and my dick needs a spanking.

TDsngumbo's Son: Sorry, daddy

Scene fades away as Cats in the Cradle plays and TDsngumbo's Son slowly closes the bedroom door.

Son - Hey Dad, what happened at work today

Dad - Today son, I learned grown men will stalk other grown men on the Internet.

Son - Those men sound kind of creepy dad.

Stryder bikes have made training wheels obsolete—had all three of my boys riding a pedal bike before they turned 4.

It's really weird how you knight so hard for him.

And you couldn't even flip the picture to make the face look better.
