I couldn't do his job, I don't have the patience to deal with that kind of ignorance on a day to day basis.
Major respect for him though and how professional he was throughout that entire stop. Never raised his voice and showed her way more respect than she deserved.

Why is it so difficult for people to simply own up to things they know good and well are wrong, like driving without a license, and calling a police officer a murderer to try and escape from the guilt they know they are guilty of?

It’s in those people’s playbook. Try to be aggressive early to put the other person on the defensive so they make a mistake or back down. There are tons of examples in other lesser animals.
