I think you're missing her point - she couldn't play the "white cop" card, so she played the card that he is a cop because he must wish he was white (only reason for a BIPOC to be a cop in their deranged worldview).
Like the idiot (who just happened to be black) who was trying to heap insults on a black police officer (I think during the Ferguson kerfuffle, but not sure) by saying, "You know you're 3/5 of a person, right?" That is one of my idiot tripwires - someone totally not getting the 3/5 compromise.
