I'd appreciate them more if they were teaching in person

The administration of my kids daycare sent home a letter today reminding us of teacher appreciation week. They even suggested what kind of gift to provide for EACH DAY of the week next week.

These “teachers” can’t write complete coherent sentences in the parent communications, and somehow I need to give them a little something extra?

Oh - and my kid told me last week the “teacher” takes a kids candy if they talk during nap time.

I know it’s not newsworthy, but I’ve been teaching in person since August.

Teachers don’t deserve an appreciation week. They get paid to do their job 10 months out of the year. They signed up to be teachers. It’s ridiculous that this is even allowed. They think they are entitled to gifts. How privileged are they?!?!?

Schools are sexist against male teachers. They won’t hire them or pay them the appropriate salary.

People hate teachers and schools until it’s time for them to viciously jockey against one another to grab the best one for their own kid.
